About Arthurs Creek Primary School
Arthurs Creek Primary School is a small, community‑focused school situated in Arthurs Creek - within the Nillumbik Shire. Students have always come from in and around Arthurs Creek as well as the neighbouring areas - especially families seeking a smaller school environment and a rural atmosphere. Most students travel to school by car, while a number of those living nearby choose to walk or ride their bikes. Once upon a time, students used to ride their ponies to school!
Being a smaller school students are in composite classes which can vary according to enrolment numbers. In 2026, our school operates two classrooms: a Foundation–Year 2 class and a Year 3–6 class. Smaller class sizes ensure that students benefit from an excellent student‑to‑teacher ratios envied by other schools. Reflecting our inclusive and student‑centred approach, the classes have chosen the names Gumnuts and Wattle respectively.
Arthurs Creek Primary School provides a welcoming and inclusive environment whilst also ensuring that students are focused on meeting important academic milestones. An integrated curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of all learners providing additional points of interest and challenge for students.
Another important thing to note - is that although ACPS is a smaller school, it offers an amazing number of camps, excursions, sporting activities, lunchtime clubs and leadership programs. Plus, there is cross over with other small schools in the region boosting numbers at sporting events and collaborating on shared learning experiences.
